It is also the first system capable of telling the user key information without having to download into a computer or printer. A large lighted display allows you to select and view different channels of information. If you do have a laptop or PC, the informer offers one of the slickest downloading kits available for easy data analyzing and graphing. Features include wheel spin, converter / clutch slippage, tach (RPM), battery voltage, and accelerometer channels. There are also many more channels available, like 1-8 cylinder temp (EGT), fuel preesure, oil pressure, oil / water / trans temp, a full throttle sensor and more. Altronics Drivetrain Reaction Timer (DRT) Version 2.0 now has a built in "G" meter that measures the time from when the transbrake is released until the time the vehicle accelerates to 0.8g's. The DRT also has an optional drive shaft sensor that can accurately measure the time from when the transbrake or clutch is released until the drive shaft moves. State of the art sensing technology allows the DRT to accurately measure the delay or change in drivetrain or chassis response with an accuracy of a few thousandths of a second. The "G" measurement can determine variances in reaction time do to chassis setup and tire slippage, the optional drive shaft measurement can determine variances in reaction time in the Clutch, Converter, Transmission, Trans Brake, or Delay Box. The system can also determine what variation in reaction time will occur when the launch rpm is changed and verify how a chassis adjustment affected the reaction time. Easy to operate and install. 15-second delay in readout makes it legal in sanctioned events.
