The program is Easy to Use and Fast! After you enter a few runs the average entry time is less than 1 minute. You can easily enter the information and get a quick prediction in less than 2 minutes. It takes far less time than you think to get the answer you need to win. Consider this, how much time do you take right now trying to decide what the dial in should be? Probably that much time or more, and your mind is not as scientific as a computer. Plus, if you use a paper logbook you probably look through it for runs under similar conditions which can take 10 minutes or longer. We do the whole thing in a split second. We give you the prediction, then show you all the runs that are similar before you can blink!
Similar Run Analysis
After an E.T. or Throttle Stop Prediction Crew Chief PRO automatically shows you all runs under the present combination that were +/- 200 Feet of the current corrected altitude. This is our "See Similar Runs Analysis" feature. When we predict an ET or Throttle Stop you can see for yourself what your vehicle has done under similar conditions. It's like another person helping you decide the final number.
Performance Summary Analysis
We show you a "Performance Summary Analysis" which is the Average for all your runs under the selected combination, then the Average for the last 5 Runs, then the Average for the last 3 Runs, and finally your Baseline Run. This data is listed in a Spread Sheet fashion and this allows you to spot TRENDS in performance. Crew Chief designers knew you wanted important, real world data for proper E.T. or Throttle Stop Predictions, these 2 features set us apart from anyone else. What good is a prediction without some "muscle" to back it up.
Split Time Interval Report
You can review your SPLIT TIME INTERVAL report to compare previous runs with the current runs. This report Automatically calculates Split Time Increment Intervals for 60Ft-330Ft, 330Ft-1/8th Mile, 1/8th-1000Ft, 1000Ft-1/4 Mile, 60Ft-1/4Mile, and 330Ft-1/4Mile to give you an excellent tuning tool and comparison to other runs. You can see and compare any number of runs with their Time Increment Intervals. Now when they call you up YOUR READY! These are Crew Chief PRO exclusive features. No other company can do this for you.
Automatic Weather Stats
Tracks, Analyzes and Calculates weather conditions. You Enter Temperature, Humidity, and Barometric Pressure (We support Humidity or Wet Bulb, Barometer or Altimeter,). We calculate conditions including: Density Altitude, Corrected Altitude, Temperature, Humidity, Wet Bulb, Barometric Pressure, Altimeter, Pressure Altitude, Vapor Pressure, Relative Air Pressure, Actual Air Pressure, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Dew Point, and more. This program will correct a run to Standard Conditions and calculated horsepower with and without weather corrections. Supports Barometers, Altimeters, Humidity Gauges, Wet Bulb Gauges, Dry Bulb Temperature Gauges, and Track and Tire Temperature Gun Gauges.
You can enter Track Temperature and Tire Temperatures. You can search off any weather field. Temperature, Corrected Altitudes, Density Altitudes, Humidity, Wet Bulb, Barometer, Altimeter, Wind Speed, Track Temperatures and more. Attention Alcohol Racers: We allow you to search off of Vapor Pressure. We have seen this number cause dramatic differences in performance and predictability, so now you can search all the runs by Vapor Pressure values.
Different Combinations are Separate Databases
Crew Chief PRO has the most powerful feature you could ever need. Combinations are separate databases. This will stop runs from one combination from contaminating runs from another combination, especially important when the ET, or in the case of Super Comp or Gas, your index is different.
Let's use an example here, say you run a super comp car with a 6000 stall converter that normally runs close to an 8.90 ET. At several tracks however, you cannot launch that hard or you will spin the tires past the 60ft mark. For these tracks you have to launch at 5200. If we change the launch RPM then the Throttle Stop Timer will change. If we keep ALL the runs together, then later we will not understand the different ETs. We should make a COMBINATION for both 6000 RPM LAUNCH SUPER COMP and one for 5200 LAUNCH SUPER COMP. We then store the runs for the 6000 LAUNCH separate from the 5200 LAUNCH. This way the Crew Chief Program understands the ET and Throttle Stop relationships and can accurately predict either the ET or the Throttle Stop Timers.
The power of the Crew Chief PRO software is each COMBINATION can have it's own ET and Throttle Stop formulas, default information, and component lists. We have settings for E.T. Bracket Racers, Class Racers (Super Stock, Comp), Super Gas/Comp/Street, or Professional Classes. Each type has slightly different data entry screens. Works Great For All Classes of Drag Racing, Even Jr. Dragsters!
The program will track each combination and can tell the racer which is better or more consistent. You can store an unlimited number of Combinations. This is useful if a racer has several different tune-ups for different track conditions. You can Name your combinations for easy reference to your tune up or weather. Great information 3 months later when you are trying to remember what you did to make the car respond.
Seperate Combinations allows you to pick separate Tuning Screens for each combination. Additional Tuning Screens track Gear Change RPM, Gear Ratios in Transmission and Rear Axle, Carbureted and Fuel Injection Settings, Suspension settings, Tire pressure, Ignition Timing with Initial, Advance Rate, Total Timing, Firing Order, Valve Lash and Spark Plug Type and Gap. This screen also stores information about Blower/Turbo Boost, Leakdown readings, Nitrous Oxide use and more. The racer is not forced to use this screen if they don't want to. This makes data entry quicker if they prefer not to track these items.
Powerful Report & Search Capability
Display or Print information stored in the program in any order you wish. For example: You need to see all runs at HOUSTON where the corrected altitude is between 800-950 feet. No Problem. Or say you want to recall all runs with #91 Jetting. No Problem, a few quick keystrokes and the information appears on your screen or prints to your printer. The Weather Searches are Temperature, Humidity, Wet Bulb, Barometer, Altimeter, Corrected Altitude, Density Altitude, Corrected Altitude YOUR Weather Station comes up with, Vapor Pressure, Wind, Track Temperature, and more.
You can search and print reports by virtually anything you want. If you do not see what you can call Common Sense Software direct, and they can normally add a search feature in minutes. The Search Screens allow you to click above each field to resort the display order. Click once and the Quickest ET or Best Weather appears first, click again and the order reverses. Easy, Fast, and Informative. The Crew Chief program ships with almost 35 different reports. More are added all the time.
Complete Opponent Tracking Module
Complete Opponent Tracking Module with Date you raced them, Opponent Number, Name, Comments, Stage Style, All ET Info, and weather. If a competitor has a Fast MPH you can put this in the comments section. You can print reports and search by their information so you are prepared when you race them. This database is automatically updated each time you put information in the Margin of Victory Analysis part of the program, or you can enter the information by itself. Not only do we keep track of your competitors but we can tell you how badly you beat them. Crew Chief PRO is so powerful that it can tell you how far you won or lost by to a 1/4 of an inch !! We will tell you Exactly where on the track (in feet) that you passed the Opponent, and we can even tell if either of you hit the brakes. Another Crew Chief PRO Exclusive Feature!
Imagine the Bragging Rights when you show your friends that you beat him or her by 4 feet and 3/4 of an inch. This is fun to use, and informative for the next round. Many people are amazed when I show this to them. They will tell me "I won by about 1 foot", but then I show them they won by 6 feet 3 and 3/4 of an inch. Or other times they have no idea because it was so close and I show them the actual margin of victory was 2 inches! Powerful information when used properly. Of course if you beat your competitor by 46 feet and you break out, then it makes you look like a fool. With continued use of the program though you can become proficient and not make that same mistake again.
Run Completion (If you has not braked)
When we compute the Margin of Victory Analysis above we can also tell you what you would have run if you had not touched the brakes. As a matter of fact, we can even tell you if your vehicle did not perform like it should. We will tell you what the ET would have been if you had not touched the brakes, how many feet and inches difference it made, and even if your competitor hit the brakes also.
Crew Chief PRO can even tell you what your 1000 foot times would have been if you leave that number out! Try that with another program. If you race at a track with no 1000 foot clocks this feature is really handy to compare with other tracks. This number is normally accurate to .008 !
Run completion works best for ET Bracket racing. You can compare your 1000 foot times for proof but this program is so powerful you will find yourself utilizing this feature every time.
This part of the program is fun to use, but make no mistake, it is a serious tool for Drag Racers. This can help you determine how to dial for the next round and double checks your Gut-Instinct on what you think the car would have run.
Contingency Money Posted
Contingency money is posted for all NHRA/IHRA/PROSTAR Races! For National Events we pay $100 to win and $50 for runner up. For Divisional Races we pay $50 to win and $30 runner up. You must be a registered user of Crew Chief and display the decals. Decals Must Be Visible in Victory Photographs for payment.

Track and report income, expenses, miles driven, Profit or Losses, and much more. Very easy to use and eliminates the need for another program to do this for the racer. Generate reports for any time period. Available reports are Income and Expense with Profit/Loss calculations, Income only, Expenses only, One Income or Expense Code Only, and all include Miles Driven in your racing operation. Great for IRS reporting!
Personalize the software by putting your own pictures in
With Crew Chief PRO For Windows you can replace all 7 of the pictures that ship with the program with your own racecar, family, friends, wife, girlfriend, or whatever you want. These pictures can also Print Out with the reports that come out of Crew Chief PRO. The pictures must be BMP files and formatted properly to the system but they are fairly simple for the average graphics program to create. 7 of your pictures can be formatted for you for an additional charge of $25, they will email them when finished (this process normally takes an hour once they receive the picture files or photographs).
Print your track’s tech cards
Perhaps the most annoying thing to do when you get to the racetrack is filling out the tech cards. Now you no longer have to do this. Crew Chief PRO will print your tech card for you and it will fill in all the Serial Numbers and Certification Numbers for you and your whole team. You can have an unlimited number of vehicles stored with all the information. Just enter your NHRA or IHRA number and click on Print. Even if the tech cards change you can download the newest version right off the web site. Multiple tracks's tech cards can be programmed in also.
Includes racing Engine Sounds
Another neat feature of Crew Chief PRO for Windows is the Racing Engine Sound that happens when you start up the program. You can turn this off if you do not like it. But believe me, it makes you smile after a long day at the office.

Think about this:
E.T. and Throttle Stop Predictions are offered with great accuracy. This is the only software that has the mathematical analysis capability to factor Aerodynamic Wind Resistance, Frontal Wind Resistance, and Tail Wind Push into the ET and Throttle Stop Predictions. IT DOES NOT USE AVERAGES IN THE PREDICTIONS like other competitors. They use your previous runs and weather data to create mathematical models of ETs, Mass In Motion Acceleration, and weather conditions. They can apply that model to the existing conditions and precisely predict your ET or Throttle Stop. Unlike other competitors, You are not given only one prediction. There are different formulas for Gas and Methanol. There is even have a separate formula based on Vapor Pressure. Vapor Pressure formulas are more precise in large weather changes. For example: when the ET picks up or slows down more than "normal" predictions would have you believe. It also has a formula for "your" ratios, this formula does your math for you, the way you did it in the past (but much quicker).

While some of the competitors adapted software used for different purposes into their programs, Crew Chief was designed and built from the ground up to be used by E.T. Bracket Racers, Super Gas, Super Comp, Super Street, Super Eliminator, Quick Rod, Hot Rod, and other SPORTSMAN DRAG RACERS!
There was 180 Enhancements to the program last year alone. Programs are not stockpiled, each time a customer purchases one they get the most recent version.
Want to do more analysis yourself? You can open the tables in any spreadsheet like Excel, Works, and Lotus 123. INDUSTRY STANDARD FILE FORMATS are used, so your data is available to you outside of Crew Chief.
